Approved in the four judicial districts of New York State, this two-hour class satisfies all of the pre-discharge debtor education requirements of the new bankruptcy law. The content of this course covers budgeting development, money management, wise use of credit, and consumer information.

An upbeat and informative presentation designed to be an interactive learning experience. The presentation is composed of five different money management scenarios that most students face today. Participants are encouraged to discuss the best course of action for responding to each scenario.

Pay Yourself First Pay Yourself First is designed to help students recognize the importance of saving money now. Participants are taught about ways to save money, how money can grow, and the different types of savings and investment accounts.

In this workshop style presentation, students are lead through the process of opening, maintaining, and using a checking account. A series of hands on activities help students learn how to reconcile their checking account properly.

Money Smart
Money Smart is a program of the U.S. Department of Labor and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The Money Smart Financial Education Effort assists adults to enhance their money management skills and create positive banking relationships. The program is appropriate for any adults, or youth ages 15 and older. Money Smart includes these ten instructor-led modules: 1) Introduction to banking; 2) Introduction to credit; 3) Choosing a checking account; 4) Keeping track of your money; 5) Why you should save; 6) Your rights as a consumer; 7) How your credit history affects you; 8)How to use credit cards; 9) Home Ownership; and 10) Understanding mortgages.
